Do you think that the most important factor of a hot spring is the quality of water?
Actually, I agree with the idea as a hot spring maniac, but most people seem to give importance on “experiences” surrounding the hot spring.
They will recognize a hot spring as great if they have extraordinary experiences, such as cleanly accommodation, great meals, or high quality customer services.
Better-class Hotel in Country Town
Today let us go to one of the most luxury hotels in Truth or Consequences.
The rate for overnight stay is around $200 on weekends, which looks a little bit pricey in this country town.
The beautiful building made of adobe bricks is registered as National Register of Historic Places.
For dinner, please make sure to visit the hotel’s restaurant.
These scallops were perfect in all aspects: the temperature, taste, and appearance.
In fact, the owner-chef, Tetsu Miyazaki was Japanese, and that might be why I liked the one.
Only one bedroom with spring water
If you choose the room, Down Stairs Queen Hot Springs, you can take a bath using spring water in your bedroom.
Here is the tub, and hot water will be poured if you operate the handle in the left side.
However, the water is a little bit tepid, and I assume it is chilled in some way.
Wondering about the temperature, move to private baths.
Various private baths
There are four bathrooms and you can choose favorite one, and new water will be filled when the time has come.
Here is the open-air bath.
Different from the tub in the bedroom, the water is warm enough.
The other three baths are indoor type, and the largest tub is surrounded by a great wall painting.
Rooms are illuminated by candles, and you can have cold drinking water.
Meanwhile, I felt 30 minutes was too short to enjoy the great spring with slight smell of minerals.
As a hot spring maniac, I was not fully satisfied with the place; nevertheless, it must be still attractive to most people in terms of the extraordinary experiences that they have in the accomplished atmosphere.
