Fire Water Lodge, New Mexico

Out of a variety of spa facilities in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, Fire Water Lodge is only the place that does not accept walk-ins.

As it is named, the hotel provides one of the hottest water in the city.

Private Outdoor and Indoor Baths

Regarding the amount of information on Tor C’s hot springs, this blog is aimed at achieving the world’s best, but has not reached the Fire Water Lodge.

This was because they did not accept walk-ins and basically required over 2 nights stays for the weekend.

I finally made the reservation for checking-in on Sunday and checking-out on Monday, going to work in the early morning.

Exterior2

The check-in is available between 2 PM and 5 PM.

Only I had to do was find the guest room that I made the reservation, and pulled the room key at the entrance.

Courtyard

There are 7 guest rooms in addition to 3 cottages with private outdoor pools.

6 rooms have private indoor tubs and only a room has an outdoor tub.

Outdoor Tub1

There are other an outdoor bath and an indoor bath on a first-come-first-served basis.

I did not like the outdoor bath due to the dull Jacuzzi tub.

Outdoor Tub2

However I was impressed at the strong water pressure from the faucet.

The private indoor bath is located in one corner of the building.

Indoor Bath1

The corridor is colorful in primary colors, which is similar to Pelican Spa in T or C.

Not many people seem to use the indoor bath, probably because all the guest rooms have own private tubs.

Corridor

The indoor bath looks old-fashioned that recalls old days in the 1950s.

The mineral water is 109 degrees F at the water outlet.

Indoor Bath2

The good thing is the rich water input compared to other spa facilities nearby.

It can be said as “injected.”

Indoor Bath3

Probably due to the close location to the source of springs, I could enjoy the hot water before getting cool.

There is a shared kitchen.

Shared Kitchen

The hotel does not have a restaurant, but provides enough equipment for self-catering.

Eucalyptus Room

I chose a suite room for staying named Eucalyptus Room.

Eucalyptus Room1

It has a dining room with a refrigerator, microwave, and kitchenette, and a bedroom.

Eucalyptus Room2

Inside the room, only the shower is for bathing.

Eucalyptus Room3

They serve comfortable bathrobes.

Patio1

The private outdoor bath is in the patio behind the dining room.

Patio2

I really impressed by the richly decorated tub.

Tub in Eucalyptus Room1

The patio is surrounded with bamboo blinds and does not have outlook.

Tub in Eucalyptus Room2

The tub is as small as that for two people, but exudes presence like an artifact.

Under the darkening sky, I was in meditation in the free-flowing water.

Night

Indian Springs Bath House and La Paloma Hot Springs & Spa has been my favarite in Truth or Consequences, because of the quality of water straight out of the ground.

However I began aware of the treasure in the hotter water at Fire Water Lodge.
